Hey Reader, We've got two new amazing recipes (and a great older one) for you today! We've been wanting to get you this tender, melt-in-your-mouth Braised Tofu recipe for a while (Liz contends it is the best way to make tofu after nearly 10 years of eating a lot of tofu), but we wanted to pair it with something. After a few tests, found a perfect use for cabbage (it was recently on sale for 39 cents a pound but it's usually pretty inexpensive)! Our Sautéed Cabbage with Garlic is soft and and packed with flavor! Both of these recipes, along with our Vegan Mashed Potatoes (we have since learned russet potatoes make MUCH fluffier mashed potatoes), make for an amazing meal that's flavorful and filling. But each of these is great on their own and we have pairing lists to help you make your meal!
Enjoy! Liz and Paul |

Hey, Reader! It's getting to be that time of the summer! This year we didn't get to do as much planting as we wanted (but hopefully next year!). I actually really love cooking and...
Hey, Reader! We don't know about where you are, but where we live (midwest US) has been in a heatwave for the last week. We need some refreshing drinks! Water is great, and we drink a lot of plain water, but sometimes you just want a fun beverage. This email is packed with ideas for fun beverages from flavored lemonade to smoothies to milkshakes and even caffeinated drinks! We hope you find a recipe or two in here you'd like to try. Stay cool (and hydrated) out there! Vegan Summer Beverage...
Hey Reader, It's REALLY hot out where we are in the world. It's a really good thing we made these Coconut Ice Cream Bars a few days ago, as they might have melted while we were filming! But once they're done, they are such a lovely cool treat to have around the house. We've have them in a reusable bag in our freezer and it's nice to just reach into it and have a quick bite to cool down. Best of all, it's a really easy recipe! AND if you can't have coconut, we also have a cashew version in the...
